We currently have an opening for Design Drafter.

DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR of ENGINEERING

FUNCTION: Use AutoCAD and Inventor 3D, to design, layout, detail, and update pressure vessel designs per customer specifications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare new drawings per the design guidelines.
  2. Update old drawings per the design guidelines.
  3. Design per our manufacturing capabilities.
  4. Interpret quote and customer specifications for Product Design.
  5. Work with customers on questions and clarifications for orders.
  6. Prepare and send drawing approval packages to the customer.
  7. Follow and maintain all drawing and departmental standards and ISO procedures.
  8. Prepare engineering change orders and engineering change requests.
  9. Enter data and maintain the parts in the ERP manufacturing system.
  10. As assigned, train new personnel.
  11. Answer questions as generated by plant employees, supervisors, etc.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate Degree in Mechanical Design
  • 1 year experience preferable
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling (Inventor preferred)
