Job Title: Enterprise Applications Developer / Administrator
Schedule: Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY
  • The Enterprise Applications Developer/Administrator will collaboratively oversee the support and development of the organization's enterprise data applications, reporting tools, associated integrations, and infrastructure across various domains, including academic business, and administrative systems. the role will also be involved in analyzing and resolving related end-user application problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. Enterprise software systems include but are not limited to online library services, Noorda COM's student information system (SIS) Student Affairs and Admissions systems like the CMS, learning management system (LMS), student web portals, financial systems, and other synchronous software technologies in use across college departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administer the development, deployment, and support of enterprise applications.
  • Engage department staff and technical colleagues to inform database system and/or data warehousing development, and assist in designing, deploying, administering, and supporting of said systems.
  • Configure, administer, and document data integrations between systems as required, maintaining a record/portfolio of integrations for ongoing support.
  • Ensure all work is traced and documented either through the department ticketing system or project management processes.
  • Consult on process improvement and its related systems and tools to optimize user experience in the efficient change management and communications.
  • Provide training on the use and operation of installed software, systems and solutions in both workshop sessions and on individual basis as required.
  • Collaborate with team members in providing superb customer service.
  • Provide responsive assistance to help desk inquiries related to systems deployed or supported by the role including department workflow software that includes (but is not limited to) Smart Sheets and document management systems.
  • Participate in the design and testing of disaster recovery and incident response plans and other business continuity-related activities and processes.
  • Ensure IT Security measures are an integral part of systems design and implementation.
  • Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as needed/assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in technology-related field is required.
Experience:
  • At least two years of experience in information systems, demonstrating a progressive mastery of programming/coding, project management and/or Agile/Scrum methodologies, application support, and IT solutions design.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Programming language skills and ability to write scripts, learn new languages and frameworks.
  • Understanding of database theory and concepts such as relational databases, primary and foreign keys, table normalization, etc.
  • Knowledge of SQL syntax and database query concepts.
  • Technical writing abilities to document systems and create training and process documentation materials.
  • Able to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and implement technology systems and solutions.
  • Ability to act as a project lead in system implementations and exhibit emotional intelligence to navigate a complex technical environment with a diverse user base.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Power Apps, Power BI, or other reporting tools is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an aptitude for managing multiple projects and an understanding of data privacy laws such as FERPA and HIPAA.
  • Highly professional with honest genuine, direct communication style.
  • Outstanding communications skills with the competence to translate technical language for a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional maturity with the essential ability to demonstrate tact, discretion and job diplomacy.

The Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking qualified candidates to support our unique, innovative curricular model designed for a modern-day medical school. We have received pre-accreditation status with the Commission for Osteopathic College Accreditation and have three cohorts of medical students (totaling more than 400 students) enrolled in Spring 2024. Located in the beautiful Utah Valley in Provo, the campus is surrounded by the Wasatch Mountain range and Utah Lake. In September of 2023, we moved into our, state-of-the-art, 140,000 square foot academic building.
