Sexual Assault Primary Prevention Educator-Temporary Part-Time (20 Hours per week) Position ends January 31, 2025.
Sexual Assault Services and Information (SASI) Program.

The Sexual Assault Services and Information (SASI) Program is committed to the prevention of sexual violence through education, prevention and advocacy in Laredo and Webb County. While supporting survivors on their paths to healing and justice.


Duties and Responsibilities
• Conducts educational sessions that promote norms and behaviors to reduce perpetration of sexual violence.
• Develops outreach strategies to connect with community members,
• Preserves current relationships, while establishing new relationships
• Conducts awareness campaigns to promote program efforts,
• Develop and Manage social media campaigns to engage target community

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Resourceful problem solver who takes initiative
• Ability to multi-task while managing multiple projects
• Ability to work independently as well as to be a contributing team member
• Maintain a positive attitude as a reflective learner and educator
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, audiences and behaviors across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and Tiktok
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Suite

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Must have completed 40 Hour Sexual Assault Advocate Training
