Salary Range: $6,438.63/month - $9,464.16/month; Starting Salary DOQ,DOE

Brief Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Manager is responsible for, or assisting in, the planning, executing, and overseeing a project from inception to completion. This position will work very closely with all County Offices/Departments, at the request of Elected Officials/Department Heads and/or direction from the Board of County Commissioners. Once requested, they work to ensure that the project meets its objectives, stays within budget, and is completed on time. The project manager supports Elected Official/Department Heads by helping to define the project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. The Project Manager will manage, or assist in, the development of a detailed project plan, which includes timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. The Project Manager coordinates and communicates with team members, assigns tasks, and monitors progress. The Project Manager will oversee, or assist in, problem-solving and address any issues that arise, adjusting plans as necessary to keep the project on track. Additionally, they are responsible for, or assisting in, maintaining quality standards and ensuring that the final deliverables meet the required specifications. They act, or assist, as the central point of contact for all project-related communications, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed of progress and any changes. The Project Manager will ensure, or assist in, the successful delivery of a project that meets its intended goals and benefits the organization.

Working Environment/Physical Abilities: Work is performed in an office environment. There is a substantial amount of sitting at a personal computer for somewhat extended periods. The incumbent may meet frequently with citizens and County staff. The physical abilities described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, write, hear, speak, and lift up to 50 lbs. of unequal weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, peripheral, depth perception. Minimum Qualifications: Experience, Education And Training: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field; or a Certification as a Project Management Professional and supplemented by five or more years’ project management experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.

Licenses, certifications and other requirements: Possession of a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one is required. Must successfully pass a background check and driving record check. Must become CJIS level 4 certified within 6 weeks of being hired. Project Management Certification (preferred).
