Gardening & Landscape Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscaper/Gardener to oversee and execute a variety of landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive knowledge of landscape maintenance, horticulture, and construction, and the ability to supervise a team of landscapers. This role offers an opportunity to lead diverse outdoor projects, including landscape transformations, installations, gardening and familiarity with irrigation systems & plant fertilization, ensuring high-quality results and client satisfaction. The Landscaper will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of outdoor spaces. Must have knowledge & experience of plants for our area/zone.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily landscaping activities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as clean ups, installations, removals, planting and pruning
• Oversee construction projects including installation of hardscapes, garden beds, and irrigation systems
• Manage tree care operations including planting, pruning, and health assessments
• Maintain equipment and tools related to landscaping and horticulture
• Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices in lawn care, gardening, and landscape maintenance
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress
• Assist in planning landscape designs and implementing sustainable practices

Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience REQUIRED
• Valid & clean Driver License REQUIRED
• Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields within our region
• Supervising or leadership experience in landscaping or construction projects is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques, tree care, irrigation systems, native plants and general outdoor maintenance
• Familiarity with construction processes related to outdoor environments
• Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a focus on quality and safety standards
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
